About Me
BELLA'S BIOGRAPHY- THE MISSING LINKIn a recent Scratch Magazine article, it was declared, "Female emcees are becoming an endangered species." Not according to Louisiana born, Cleveland raised newcomer BELLA, with her high-quality versatile lyrics mixed with fresh banging beats influenced by both the east and west coasts .While most females on the mic get caught in either using only sex tales for expression, or lose their feminine energy by attempting to be harder than their male counterparts, BELLA's style comes off as a classy mature woman who can party with the best of them, but still clever and skilled enough to expand her lyrical content to cover topics about the struggles of life, relationships, personal growth, and world affairs. Think the 2007 version of a Queen Latifah, combined with the sassiness of Left Eye, and the sexiness of Eve. Put all this together and you have BELLA, a female with substance, dept, and an infectious personality and voice.BELLA first touched the stage in Cleveland as a model for local TV shows, print ads and state beauty pageants. In 2001, as a featured female voice for Universal rap group 216, BELLA gained experience opening major concerts across the US for people like 50 Cent, Nelly, and BET's Black College tour. BELLA soaked up exclusive game and enjoyed the unique opportunity to learn tips from studio session with producers like Wyclef Jean and Scott Storch. Building off this experience, BELLA began blazing local mixtapes in Cleveland, collaborating with Big Keyz from Money Tree Entertainment, Phatty Banks, and lighting up the streets in Cleveland, Detroit, Philly, and ATL with songs like "Do What it Do"The Missing Link is appropriately titled because now, more than ever, there needs to be balance in the Hip Hop world and the re-emergence of the female voice. From songs like "My Own 2" to the Cleveland tribute "Cleveland Bred", and the heart felt "LOVE" track that speaks to the world, BELLA is giving the world good music that everyone should take a listen to. BELLA's unique flow and ability to be classy and not raunchy, political but not preachy, have fun but not out of control is what Hip Hop needs to elevate. With Cleveland super producers like DJ Phatty Banks, Jazzmarc, and The Kick Drums, and European producers like Sivey and others, the music and the flows bang in a big way.
