Wicker Park Fest

About Me

Historic, yet hip and cutting edge, Chicago’s Wicker Park and Bucktown district offers a variety of lifestyle options... distinctive art, acclaimed restaurants and a trendy musical scene to name just a few. A reflection of the eclectic neighborhood is the annual Wicker Park Fest, showcasing the extraordinary area for a sixth year on Saturday, July 25th, 2009 through Sunday, July 26th, 2009.

Appealing to those who appreciate diverse surroundings combined with turn-of-the century character, Wicker Park and Bucktown are best known for their rich musical heritage and arts, playing host to the annual Around the Coyote Art Festival, the nationally acclaimed Collaboraction Sketchbook theatre festival and Wicker Park Fest.

Highlighted by the rousing alternative-indie music that takes place continuously on two stages, Wicker Park Fest weekend also promises great food from neighborhood restaurants as well as unique arts & crafts from local exhibitors.

Easily accessible by The Blue Line and just minutes from downtown Chicago, Wicker Park Fest is a diverse and dynamic event for anyone looking for a true Chicago neighborhood-fair experience.

Wicker Park Fest has moved locations this year and is now being held on N. Milwaukee Ave. between W. North Ave. and N. Wood St. Event hours are noon-10:00 p.m. both days and the gate donation is $5. Proceeds benefit the Wicker Park & Bucktown Chamber of Commerce. For more info, go to www.wickerparkbucktown.com or call the Chamber at (773) 384-2672.
