Dave Molloy

Hi I'm Dave. a producer/composer/guitarist originally from Dublin but now based in Forkhill, a very picturesque enclave of County Armagh in N. Ireland! (Hills, grass...u know the sort of thing Ted). After some years of being a session musician I got into the murky world of production. I work with singer/songwriters in various genres, acoustic/folk/jazz/pop & R'n'B etc. Recent work includes album production 'Loosely Based On A True Story' for Sean Needham, co-write of title track 'Life Like Mine' (Tommy Fleming). I have finished the debut album 'You, My Favorite Shadow' for PAL STEELO , the alias for my long time colleague & collaborator Paul Mc Donnell. Check out the vid of me playing with PAL STEELO (In the musicical sense, that is) We have also completed Anne Bryony's wonderful debut cd 'BROKEN'. Other upcoming projects include the debut EP for Della Manion and a great debut urban/r'n'b/pop project by Sasha T. While recording with all these gifted artists I also get the xtra honour of working with some great musicians/producers & engineers -Glenn Baker, Billy Bergin, Cormac Breathnach, Chiara Browne, Joe Csibi, Brendan Doyle, Pat Dunne, Mark Gaffney, Paul Mc Ateer, Dave Mc Cune, Matt Foster, Chris Gestrin, Ollie Hennessey, Liam Mc Laughlin, Mick Lynch, Alan Murphy, Gavin Murphy, Rod Patterson, Gerald Perigren, Shawn Pierce, David Robbins, Paul Shatto, Wayne Sheehy, John Tuohy, Chris Tarry & Jesse Zubot. The studio uses Mac/PC running Pro Tools HD3/Nuendo with Neve/Focusrite/TLA/Avalon & MOTU outboard. Mics by AKG/Neumann/Rode & Shure. There's lots of stringy things around including a 1967 Gretsh Nashville 6120 , a '68 Martin D-18, a '77 Les Paul, Takemines EN-20 & CP 132-SC Classical, couple of Strats, a Tele, 12-String and Basses.
