Mike Beeds

Having played the guitar as a teenager, I have always had a passion for music. It wasn't until 2006 that I "discovered" electronic dance music; we were cruising down the beach and my friend introduced me to Paul Oakenfold's "Creamfields" CD. Since then, I have been completely hooked...
A few house parties and some time later, I found myself DJing weekly at a club in China. It was during this time that I really developed as a DJ and further deepened my passion and drive to pursue music as more than just a hobby.
Since that time, I've taken a hand at producing, realizing the incredible feeling of playing out my own tracks. In fact, at my last show in the states, I got great response from "Calcutta." Only my 2nd track ever made, it has already been featured in DJ Mag's "Mix Doctor" segment, noted for its lush melodies and "movie-like" feel. I was also given the opportunity to remix part of Johan Söderqvist's moving score for "Let The Right One In"; this track is titled "Hakan Is Angry (Mike Beeds' Solemn Remix)."
2009 should prove to be another good year for me. I will be heading back to China, with the goal of gaining residency once again. No doubt, I will continue to produce as well, improving upon my accomplishments thus far.
