If you are anything like me... you love the internet and making money. I'll explain a little about how I combined the 2 and changed my life, but first let me tell you a little about myself.
I'm currently living in the UK with my American husband and two young kids. I'm artistic, love belly dancing, red wine and spending time with my friends and family.
My dream has always been to travel the World, and after graduating I ended up teaching English in Tokyo for two years. Really cool place, very different to the West.
From there I went on and did a bit of traveling in Asia, Australia and America. Then spent a few months living in Italy studying the language (and the food!).
After a year of working in London, I married Robert (who I met out in Japan) - it was then reality hit and I found myself in a bit of a pickle financially.
For years I had been funding my living expenses on credit cards and had maxed out EIGHT cards with many tens of thousands of debt... The situation was NOT good... my new husband and parents were NOT impressed!

That is when things hit rock bottom - having to move back to the parents (with husband and baby - how embarrasing!)and having to adjust to just one income coming in. My husband had to take what work was available and was away for most of the week. He hated that he was missing out on seeing our son grow and change so much over the first year.
We were living from pay check to pay check, and absolutely knackered!. I felt guilty that I had put us in this mess, that we had no nice home for our new family and my husband was so stressed. I wanted to contribute financially, but the thought of having to return to work filled me with fear.
I remembered only too well those Monday mornings - the alarm rings and it's still dark outside. I get up and shower and rush to put on my clothes and make up. I look at the clock and I have to leave in five minutes, so no time for breakfast. Then I have to get in my car and sit in wall to wall traffic to get to work. When I get in, nobody is smiling and the boss is in a bad mood. Then, I spent the whole day at the desk trying not to get involved in the office politics - just waiting for the day to end so I am at last free.
Now, with kids, I would also have to earn enough to pay someone else to spend the day watching them play and grow. It just made no sense to me - there had to be a way I could earn money from home. That is when I started looking at setting up my own home business.
"The Journey Begins..." Starting my own business was something I had wanted to do for a long time and I really liked the idea of being in charge of how I spent my time. After looking around, the network model appealed most to me. It was a business anyone could start with minimum investment and risk... and also mentioned in Rich Dad Poor Dad as worth trying.
After looking around, I responded to a newspaper ad and within days had bottles of vitamins in our bedroom. I was told to make my list of '100 names' and to get them on the phone with my upline....
I tried flyers on cars, door to door, on and offline advertising, stoping people in a shopping mall and asking if they needed to loose weight (one lady nearly clobbered me!)...we attended monthly meetings (with hotel costs and travel expenses). After 6 months, I had one customer (who demanded her money back) and two reps... "There had to be an easier way..." That is when I decided to try starting an online business. This time I found a product I had more passion for - organic skincare. Over the next two years I learnt a lot about marketing online and sponsored over 40 reps and had hundreds of customers... however, I was still managing to spend more than I made.

Having a lot more experience, I was able to sponsor 19 reps into the business within my first 6 weeks. This was it! I was sure I had cracked the code... at least I thought I had. Having learnt many new tactics, I moved onto Top Tier programs... which unlike MLM, don't require you to build a large downline. You also get a very large commission when anyone joins - from several hundred dollars to a couple of thousand. The downside however, is that you often need a large investment to get involved.
Now, don't get me wrong - these can be great programs, and I have learnt a lot...and I'll be happy to recommend some good ones, but it is a lot trickier to get people to part with their money when it is several thousand dollars to join.
After several years of being involved with MLM, Top Tier, Click Bank Affiliate Marketing... checking out all those so called 'Get-Quick-Rich' Schemes (or should I say 'Scams')... I was pretty FED UP. After Investing In Numerous High Investment programs, spending a fortune on advertising, and various training packages - Things got out of control financially. There was just too much going out and no enough coming in...I was starting to think that making money online was just a pipe dream, and even started thinking about getting an evening job once the kids were asleep.
