Andy grew up in Renton, Washington. At the age of 18 he joined the Army. During his five years as an Military Policeman, he was sent to Saudi Arabia, Fort Meade, Maryland, Korea and then to Fort Belvoir, Virginia. It was while he was stationed at Fort Belvoir where he met his wife Cindy. In March 1995, they were married at Word of Life A/G in Springfield, Virginia. Andy was called into youth ministry the last day of his military service. In 1997 they packed up everything and moved to Washington State where Andy attended Northwest University. He graduated from Northwest in 2000 with a BA in Church Ministries with an emphasis in Youth. Shortly after graduation they headed back to Virginia where Andy and Cindy both worked on the Word of Life staff. Andy was the youth pastor for 5 years and Cindy continues to work on the administration staff. They have two awesome kids - Drew and Cassidy. In 2005, God placed Church Planting on Andy's heart. God opened a door to be a Church Planting Intern for 2 years with Pastor Rob & Linda Seagears. As the Lord leads, Andy and Cindy will be planting a church in Virginia in 1-2 years.Check us out at www.southcountycares.org
