As the music industry continues to pursue the attraction of disappointing artist, there are still many whom have yet to be acquainted. With the absence of raw talent and music at its finest, it seems that HIP HOP has transitioned into "HIP POP". With the industry paying attention to catchy phrases and dance moves, it is hard for artist that really deliver that Hip Hop Era persona to compete with such. V.Ray is well endowed with the music scene. Growing up in San Diego County, V.Ray was accustom to the "West Coast Era" in rap. Artist such as Snoop Dogg, Too Short, and Dr.Dre were artist that were apart of his early years of understanding hip hop. As he became older, he was heavily influenced by the "West Coast vs. East Coast" rap beef. with the outbreak of rap legend The Notorious BIG he was swept into the east coast music scene. He began listening to other hip hop legends such as Rakim, EPMD, Slick Rick, LL Cool j, and Run DMC. He then began to rap at age 10 when he wrote his first rap lyrics for a local talent show he did with good friend Derick Jones. From then on, he began perfecting his lyrics as the years went by. At age 18 he linked up with good friend and current label mate Young Lyxx. V.Ray is now on a musical ambition. He endures on the lyrical talent of Jay-Z, Nas, Ludacris, Outkast, Scarface, Cee Lo, and Common. Enjoy music at its purest.
