Jeppe Zeeberg Trio is a young danish jazz trio from Copenhagen with Jeppe Zeeberg on piano, Nicolai Kaas Claesson on double bass, and Mads Emil Nielsen on drums. The three musicians have been working together in several constellations, the acid funk jazz band Yxtet for instance (www.yxtet.dk). But in this trio they play jazz. The repertoire includes Jeppe Zeeberg’s own compositions as well as almost unknown compositions (like Swedish jazz tunes from the 60’ies), and a few standards. The music is at the same time groovy, swinging, sophisticated, and chaotic. All compositions by Jeppe Zeeberg except Stella by Starlight by Victor Young.
