Lea's Friend is a band originally formed in september 2002. in Subotica, a town placed in northern Serbia, by Irena Andric (songwriter, vocals) and Davor Basic Palkovic (guitarist and arranger). The name of the band came out of literally friendship between Irena and Lea, her inspiration trough the times they've spend together and points of view about the world around them, ongoing cultural disorder in their homecountry and responds to momentary lack of quality in existent music scene in Serbia. During 2004. two members joined the band: Cosic Bojan on drums and Edvard Halas on bass. Lea's Friend started to rehearsh and produce songs during them, as a result, the band performed live - in two occasions as a support to Nafta (ex Dzukele) and once on Ethno- camp, an artist colony that takes place once a year near Subotica. That performance ment the end of existing band, regarding the band members, mainly caused by Irena's moving to other town, Novi Sad - where she formed the new crew: Petar Starcev - bass, Igor Radat - keyboards, Nenad Grgic - guitar Dejan Kijanovic - drums. Lea's Friend can be heard on Sever-severozapad, a compilation that includes alternative bands from Subotica, recorded by the original members from Subotica, issued in january 2006. The band continues its work today in Novi Sad, working on new songs, written by Irena and looking forward to publish them soon, also to perform them live, wherever needed
