Update: May 22, 2008
So I figured I better start putting dates up here, because I take way too long to update and it never actually says the right thing. Look at the date, figure out how long ago that was, and decide whether you think it's still correct.
I went to ODU for 5 years, majored in International Studies and Spanish, and now I have to figure out how to use that. The plan is to work for the Foreign Service, but realistically I need to look into other options as well. Just really don't want to, haha. My main goal is to travel and see the world, and the Foreign Service doesn't seem like a bad way to do that. I actually think I would enjoy the challenging work, and I would love getting sent to new places every few years and learning about the culture and history and getting to know the people.
Anyway, in the Fall I went to Panama for a little over three months and I lived with my cousin. I absolutely loved it and I have every intention of going back for a while. I'm not sure when I'll be able to fit it in, but I'll make it fit somewhere. I also have a goal to make it to every country in the world at some point, so I'm trying to start working on that one. I haven't been very many places, but I'm slowly doing it.
While I'm figuring out my life and what I'm going to do with it, I'm substitute teaching for Chesapeake Public Schools. It's not so bad, but sometimes those high schoolers really do know how to test your patience...
I have some weird little quirks...like being afraid of the oven. Yep, not kidding. It's pretty much a fear of anything hot, actually. I'm really not afraid of much else though. I'm also insanely obsessed with the color red. And ice cream is and always has been my favorite food. Like instead of pizza, I say ice cream. People always go "that can't be your favorite food." Well, I beg to differ.

This one is a work in progress - I'm not done listing everything yet, especially not where I still want to go. Still, you can check it out for now. I'll be updating it pretty often, I'm sure.
