About Me

I'm Paul. I'm 21. Just finished a degree in Psychology at De Montfort University. I'm really interested in films and one day I'd like to be a counsellor. I live in Leicester, which isn't that bad despite what a lot of people say. I'd like to travel around a bit maybe, but my home will always be in England. If i moved to a different country I'd miss it too much. I like goin out with my mates drinking and entertaining them with my dancing. I don't like acting cool when I'm out, I just try to enjoy myself and make other people laugh if I can. If you don't laugh at me even out of pity or embarassment there's something wrong with you. My favourite drink on a night out is Jack Daniel's and Coke. I love the stuff. I also love Guinness and Red Wine, not together. I like football, I support Leicester City and Newcastle United (part of my family are from Newcastle). I can't play to save my life though. I enjoy playing badminton but I haven't played it for about a year, so you can't really call it a hobby.

My Interests

Films, music - I like old music - the Rat Pack, the Beatles, ELO, Michael Jackson, and a bit of Soul. Love stand-up comedy: Billy Connolly, Lee Evans, and Peter Kay are awesome.

I'd like to meet:

David Beckham, Michael Owen, Alan Shearer, Sammy Davis Jr, Lily Allen, Billy Connolly, Peter Kay, Lee Evans.

Music:

All above.

Movies:

In my third year at uni I got to study films which was by far the best part of my degree. I analysed Jurassic Park for my coursework which took ages but I really learned something. I think its amazing how much work goes into a film and how it can change what your feeling and thinking. Favourite films probably are The Departed, Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2, and the Muppet Christmas Carol (seriously). But there are so many films I haven't seen yet.

Television:

The Simpsons is pure brilliance but I haven't got sky so I only see really old episodes on Channel 4. Friends got funnier as it went on and I'd love to see it all again.

Books:

Not really in to books, having read loads of boring ones for my degree, but Peter Kay's autobiography is one that I couldn't put down.

Heroes:

I don't really have a hero, but one person that comes close is Alan Shearer. Not only one of the best ever strikers, but his loyalty to Newcastle United makes him a true legend.
