I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Myspace LayoutsI am writing for a new magazine, Crunk Magazine (covers hip hop/urban culture and beyond), in the areas of finance, fitness, fashion, food, book reviews, music reviews and movies. My background, prior to writing, is in science (biochemistry), educational technology and education/teaching. I have a BS in Biochemistry and an MS in Science of Instruction. In these areas, I have taught online, developed and taught SAT prep courses, taught high school biology and chemistry, worked as a substitute, worked as a test rater/scorer for Educational Testing Services, and I also worked and trained as an Assistant Engineer Scientist on PSEMs (Personal Scanning Electron Microscopes- they are mobile and computer interfaced). Want more???Ok, here's the sordid rundown: I'm a loving mother who started into adulthood with a pregnancy at sixteen, married a serviceman and in Korea with a four month old daughter at seventeen, independently studied and earned my GED,started college, divorced, remarried and had another daughter, graduated college, worked in industry, went back and graduated from graduate school for education, worked in education and now, thanks owed to my well written journalist husband, I am writing. Overall, if I can make my family as proud of me as I am of them, I will feel successful. I also strive to donate myself to society in meaningful ways, such that some other young mother, father or child may realize that their path is not written until they decide their own fate. Now is always the time to improve your life.
