About Me
It all started in 1991. About 16 years ago my friends and I came in contact with punk/new wave/EBM/cold wave. We discovered the Ramones, Red Zebra, The Exploited, Sex Pistols, Joy Division, New order, Fad Gadget, Sisters of Mercy, The cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Anne Clark, Fields of the Nephilim, Front 242, A split Second, Skinny Puppy, Absolute body control, aroma di amore etc and we still like these bands a lot. After a couple of years we learned to know more and more bands and we also discovered dark electronic music. Groups such as Project Pitchfork, Calva y Nada, Die Form, Fortification 55, Prager Handgriff, Eternal Afflict, Placebo effect and PNE. We started to organize some parties in 1994. Together with some friends in a youth house in Waarschoot. Our first party wasn't a big success but our second party was way better. After that there was a gap of a couple of years. We restarted in 1997 to organize parties in Waarschoot and Eeklo and one gig in Waarschoot. And in early 1998 the Gallery of the Damned was born. We are still organizing parties under this name and on 10 November 2007 we will organize a gig at the Frontline in Gent/Belgium. Echo West and Tetra Plok will be performing there. Afterwards there will be a cold wave/new wave/EBM/postpunk/minimal electro afterparty. Hope to see you all there
