I am The Sikhest. I'm not underground. I'm not mainstream. Underground suffers from playability. Mainstream suffers from depth. On the one hand, you've got the intellectuals who're heavy into underground, and on the other you've got the less enlightened hooked on mainstream. It's easy to come with lyrics that only the intellectuals can comprehend, and it's easy to make a track with a catchy beat that anyone can dance to. So, I'm here to do what most people won't attempt to do. I'm going to strike a balance between both.
I'm the truth, served to you in a way that I think will best help you. That's all. I spit shit that's true, and I dress it up so it'll appeal to everyone. What's the point of only reaching part of the world when you can try to reach them all? At 20 years young it's hard for most to believe I've been through the types of things I have, but trust me when I say I've probably had a rougher life than you. That's not something to take pride in, regardless of what OG-thuggin' niggas tell you over hood-anthems; what you take pride in is how you deal with those situations and move on. That's why I am rough, I am blunt, and I am intense; yet, I'm still a good person and I still try to help niggas when they ask for it. I'm a diamond in the rough: an intelligent thug.
