About Me

Industry’s labeled YBF (Young, Black, and Fabulous)chick, "Celestina” is on the rise. Tabloids have labeled her the beautiful, rich chocolate complexioned, 5’8, multi-talented performing artist of West African descent, who has managed to break through the industry’s silent color barrier to display a different standard of beauty. Many have likened her to a young cross between Naomi Campbell and Gabrielle Union, but Celestina is now defining her own brand after co-starring with Prince in his latest video “Blacksweat,” and starring in MTV's hit series, "DanceLife" (produced by Jennifer Lopez)where the lives of 6 dancers are followed, showcasing the obstacles and barriers the Entertainment Industry brings.

Driven by her outstanding talent and urge to perform, Washington, D.C. born Celestina Aladekoba, known simply as Celestina, has used her God-given talents, appearing in feature films Norbit, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and more; Television series That’s So Raven, The Game, Smith, American Dreams, to name a few; National Commercial Campaigns for Ipod, Crystal Light, Ford, and so on. She has also worked with a plethora of high profiled artists such as, Prince, Brian McKnight, Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Chris Brown, Brandy, Will Smith, Outcast, Nick Cannon and so many more. Celestina’s dynamic style has ‘wowed’ many. In 2004, 50cent officially named her “Matrix” because of her remarkable back-bending dance move, which has been and is currently seen to be mimicked in a number of dance videos and performances.Celestina
This triple threat is also known for her diverse and well attained educational background. At 8 years of age, Celestina moved with her mother to Nigeria where she schooled for 4 years. She returned to the United States to not only graduate from North Hollywood High School at the tender age of 16, but to also complete a BS degree in Music Business and a minor in Philosophy from USC (University of Southern California) at the age of 20.
Celestina always had a love for performing. While the West African culture prizes the highest levels of education, so that children may enter the top earning professions, Celestina wanted to please both her parents and herself. So, while studying as a pre-law student in college, she began taking dance classes at the Edge Performing Arts studios, attending various acting classes and workshops, and began private vocal lessons via the USC Thorton School of Music Jazz Studies Department.
During the summer of her sophomore year of college, Celestina started her professional career in which she gives thanks to God first and foremost, and then to all those who have helped and guided her.
