CHOPPING BLOCK WAS BORN IN 1991

_Chopping Block started in 1991, only played one live show at the anti club in Hollywood California. The show was videotaped and is in the process of being transferred for clips to be used on myspace.com and youtube.comThere was 500 records pressed and released in September of 1991, 100 red vinyl, 400 black vinyl and five or six test pressings. Chopping block called it quits in 1992, however, went into a studio in 1992 prior to breaking up and recorded 14 songs, all unreleased except for one, titled "Hate thyself" which was released on a six weeks records compilation "America in decline".There were no vocals on the track(s) so I asked a straight edge punk that lived around the corner from me (I forget his name) if he'd belt out some vocals for that particular track, he did and the compilation track was successful.There's still a small handful of the original records in my possession, I haven't done a count, but I'm guessing 20 to 30 copies of the original 7" are available most likely for trade only.Bands/projects I have done since include Minimum Wage and Worked Over. Which might see the light of day on a split vinyl release one of these days/years, if I ever get around to it. I'm also considering letting a record label release it if there's any that show interest in the projects.Minimum Wage and Worked Over were only released on cassette tape, along with some chopping block songs from the original 7" back in 1999 on my label, Blood Soaked Records.From what I understand Farron is currently in a death metal band by the name of "lightning swords of death" and I'm currently trying to start a project/7" called "Stifler" which was an old chopping block song title that is unreleased.Chopping block can be contacted at myspace.com
