Hey dudes and dammes,what is up!?!?The name's Savannah,i'm a 19 year old kid (yes,kid!) from Texas who's OVERLY-INDEPENDENT,OVERLY-HYPER,and OVERLY-CONFIDENT!!!Just so you know.
I've happily claimed being "straight edge" for the past two years.Everyone has their definition of being edge (look them up),but the basics are that I abstain from doing drugs,drinking alcohol and all sexual activty.I've also sworn off of boys and relationships for the time being(not that that has anything to do with being sXe).Take your drugs,your alcohol and your nasty sex organs somewhere else.I get double the critisism every minute of every day because i'm a "black girl" that happens to be edge..and that's cool with me.I've learned to deal with it and let it be (it ain't "deal or no deal" it's "deal or go deal").Living and claiming sXe is one of the biggest choices i've had to make in my life,thus why I come to you today with a new found confidence and dedication.I don't like labeling,but that's the one label I will proudly allow.
Despite the fact that i'm full of that "southern hospitality" everyone talks about,i'll tell you right now that i'm a bonafide CITY girl(what else do you expect from a girl born in the 4th LARGEST CITY?!?!).I graduated from high school in 2007, and I now attend Sam Houston State University in Huntsville. I haven't been out of Texas much (there was this one time that pops into my head),but I am destined to travel and see the world-espically New York City.I have a fascination with NYC and everything it has to offer-probably because I like to live over the top.Hopefully someday i'll live there!!!Right now,however,I'm studying Criminal Justice,and I plan to become a rape crisis counselor or a homicide detective someday.I have a thing of sticking up for people whatever the cost,so this seems like a good path for me to be on.Sometimes I can be a girly-girl, but you'll probably catch me in my tomboy mode most of the time.My mind is dirtyfilthynasty,but my mouth is even worse(I know it's not lady like,but oh well).Most of my friends are dudes by choice because let's face it-groups of girls sit around and bitching about every little thing all day(myself included)is no fun for anyone.
Television and music consume most of my time (except for when i'm in class or studying,of course!).I watch almost every tv drama under the sun-mostly because of my passion for crime and criminal justice. My favorites include 24,Law & Order,CSI,NCIS,and Bones.I most recently got back into sci-fi,my favorite now being Stargate (back then,it was Farscape and Star Trek-still is). But my most favorite shows by far are(shocker!)two sports shows on ESPN called Around the Horn and Pardon the Interruption.And both have one thing in common:Anthony Joseph Reali.He's the coolest dude on the planet!!!Not only is he funny and charismatic,but he introduced me to my current life motto:GO GET A HOLD OF YOUR LIFE!!!It's what gave me my new found confidence,and for that he will always have a place in my existance(read my blog entited "Get a Hold of Your Life:The Method Behind My Madness" ).He also happens to be the idea behind my screenname-Reali©andy™,just in case you haven't figured that out by now.Both Around the Horn and Pardon the Interruption are unique and entertaining in their own ways,and it's the best way I get the majority of my sports lo-down(it's also why they pwn ESPN)!SHIFT THE WAY YOU MOVE,BITCHES!!!!
Music is my so-called "self therapy"...basically 24/7/365.I've listened to music before I was even born(according to my mom),and became a so-called "band nerd" at the age of 8.I've played the flute for over 10 years and it has spilled over into my everyday routine.Apart from performing,I listen to mostly rock and metal,but i'll listen to pretty much anything else except for rap music.Not only do I think it's degrading to women,but I can't stand how fake it has become.They all sound and look ridiculous,and it's a joke now,IMHO.My favorite band of all time is Rage Against the Machine,and my current faves change daily.I like new music and talent,like indie and underground bands also.
Just like my gianormous voice,I like to do everything BIG in life...that includes my style.I'm the one who shows up in white when everyone else shows up in black.I express myself through the way I act as well as the way I dress.I'm in the process of changing my wardrobe now because I feel there aren't enough pieces that suit me,and I need something that makes me different from all the rest.I prefer not to wear makeup (or war paint,as I see it nowadays),perfume or false anything.Like many other things,if it doesn't fit my pesona,i'm not going to force myself to wear it.Also,showing every piece of my skin in scantally clad clothing isn't necessary,IMHO.Leave something to the imagination;you wonder why guys mess over girls so damn much.It's kinda like a present:once you open it and play with it awhile,it gets boring and you forget about it.You can take your "scene" and "punk" labels elsewhere-those don't fly with me.I just pick out pieces that I like that have a edge and some originality to them.Anything worn with confidence is beautiful,that's how i've always seen it.Wear what you want,when you want,and you'll make the biggest statement!
Well that pretty much covers me in a nutshell.Most people think that i'm the "posterchild of weird",but i'm just really an uber chill chick who doesn't try to let the little things get to her.I'm a KISS kind of girl.So,my friends..in the words of Reali:
