About Me

Aloha, my name is William. As a second generation Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga practitioner, I grew up around yoga and had an early and direct exposure to the benefits of a yogic lifestyle. My Mother took me to my first Ashtanga classes in 1999 with Dennis Dean and her teacher, Tim Miller, and I've been practicing daily pretty much ever since. From 2000-2002 I lived in Upcountry Maui where I apprenticed under Senior Ashtanga Instructor Nancy Gilgoff at the House of Yoga and Zen.Since returning to the mainland in 2002, my main teacher has been Tim Miller. I have completed both the Primary (2003) and Intermediate (2008) Series Teacher Training with Miller at the Ashtanga Yoga Centers in Encinitas and Carlsbad, CA, respectively. In 2004, I traveled to Mysore, South India to initiate direct studies with Ashtanga Master Sri K. Pattabhi Jois at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute (AYRI). During my stay I was honored to be selected as a Delegate from the AYRI at a national conference to promote Indian tourism.I now live with my two beautiful Indigo children in Palm Desert, CA where I have been teaching yoga throughout the Coachella Valley since 2002.Teaching Schedule: I am presently available for private lessons, workshops, and retreats. Please see my blog for class descriptions.Mahalo for visiting my MySpace page. May you be filled with LovingKindness.
