Dixie Highway

About Me

The Dixie Highway Band is an exciting, five piece, progressive Country band raised on traditional Country Music, with Southern Rock, Blues, Bluegrass and Gospel Music influences contributing to their distinct sound. Ranging in ages from 21 to 30 years, the Dixie Highway Band musicians were rooted in family Gospel groups and church singing and exposed, during their growing years, to a veriety of musical styles. Raised in East Tennessee, they have been playing music since grade school and have spent years learning and developing their craft.Eight years ago, the five passionate musicians united their talents and formed the Dixie Highway Band. Five of the band members, Brian, Kris, Bret, Derek Jones, are cousins. Justin Reynolds, their best friend, is lead vocalist. They work, think, perform and react as a close knitted group. Above all, they make what they do for a living fun! All five are gifted musicians, and their genuine love for music is apparent. A growing fan base is evidence of their popularity. The Dixie Highway Band creates an engaging musical experience that brings fans back agian and agian. The Dixie Highway Band consistently packs nightclubs, concerts, fairs and private parties across the Southeast and Midwest. The Band has opened shows for Sammy Kershaw, Amy Grant, Carlene Carter, Sawyer Brown, Kansas, Diamond Rio, and Foreigner. Their latest, original album, "Highways and Heartaches," was produced by award winning gold and platinum engineer and producer Frank Green, owner of DigitalMaster Productions, who has worked with many recording artist including Kenny Rogers and Garth Brooks, and by Steve Jones, manager of the Dixie Highway Band."Highways and Heartaches" has songs for everyone, including "I Call It Love," a fan favorite, and "Can You Feel It?" - an energizing, feel good song that brings crowds to their feet. Each song reveals a piece of their heart and soul. Once you've seen them live, you too will agree that whatever the Magic is, the Dixie Highway Band has "IT"... and every time they take the stage "YOU CAN FEEL IT!"
