About Me

Jason Campbell - Fretless Bass and Lead Vocals Daniel Zimmerman - Guitar and Backing Vocals Robert Rachelli - Drums From his first professional appearance at age 17, playing for a women's prison, to the present, Jason Campbell has been hooked on entertaining people. An enthusiastic and engaging frontman, the singer/songwriter shares the stage with Robert Rachelli on drums and veteran Santa Barbara guitarist extraordinaire, Daniel Zimmerman in "The Jason Campbell Band." A creative mix of free-spirited, melodic rock showcases the musical diversity of this professional 3-piece unit. "We focus on our original tunes. We call it 'funky groove rock,'" says Campbell. Bustling with creative energy, chemistry and mutual respect, the Jason Campbell Band's up-tempo, feel-good music gets audiences dancing at every gig. Based in Santa Barbara, California, the band plays local clubs and is a frequent request of festival organizers. Their melodic, hook-laden music seems to effortlessly cross age barriers. A local festival promoter said, "Their performance was perfect ú groovy, organic, fun and danceable! One word to sum it up - Califunky!" Even the occasional cover song falls to the band. Zimmerman, a guest columnist in "Guitar Player Magazine," notes that he band will play it in their own style, "borrowing an idea, and expounding on it." Playing fretless bass and singing, Campbell commands crowd attention. Coming from an entertainment family he's used to this. "It's all about the show... the performance. We put out the same high level experience for 100 people or 1,000", he states.
