Starting life over...again. Not a spring chicken anymore, but I am richer in spirit and knowledge than ever before. I've had a very difficult life...mostly in my relationships from early childhood; perhaps those experiences are what helped to make me the empath I am today. During one long period of turmoil I gained about 200 lbs....even with a family history of heart problems I gained the weight and was smoking 3 packs of cigarettes a day!! Won't go into the details, but let me tell you, I don't know how I survived, but I am still here. I have lost a little over 100 lbs and I am still pluggin' away....hoping to 'get it right' one day. I LOVE nature. I'm not talking about camping, boating and the like...even though those are fun activities...I'm talking about just nature...being in the woods and sitting quietly just listening to the sounds of the wind in the trees, the creatures all around and 'feeling' the life of it all. Either you 'get it' or you don't, but that's ok..doesn't mean we can't be friends...it just means you would have to accept the dreamy side of me! hahahaha I can be pretty silly too. I have an inner child that loves to come out and play...more now than ever before. She has been stifled way too long...not by my own choosing (part of the difficult life thing as mentioned above). I am separated from my husband of 11 yrs, but we remain close friends. He helps me out a lot and I appreciate him. We are much better as friends than we ever were as husband and wife. "Why don't you get a divorce?", you might ask. Well, it's called money. Need some, don't have any. LOL I love to create things. It doesn't really matter what as long as I'm using the imagination and end up with something I don't totally find repulsive. *smile* My favorite thing to feed that need right now is crocheting. I'm loving AMIGURUMI...it's a Japanese type of crochet where you make little 'dolls'. The dolls can be anything...food, animals, plants, any object really...then you put on a little face and presto* you have Amigurumi. It isn't stitched in rows or rounds, but in a spiral fashion. If you check out my pics I have an some examples in "My Crafts". I also really like making mosaics on glass with stained glass. They are so pretty when hung in a window for the light to shine through. My other crafts are beading, jewelry making, making candles, soaps and toiletries, polymer clay, tea bag folding, iris folding, and quilling (not quilTing...quilling)...it's scroll work with very narrow strips of paper using a special tool or a needle. I love music...it soothes my savage heart! I also like to sing, but don't have the voice I once had...still makes me feel good though. I like to cook....good ol country cookin' and I like to experiment with new creations in the kitchen too! I simply adore my grandchildren!! Aren't grandchildren just 'the best'? I tend to be a homebody. I enjoy going out with friends, but I sometimes have to be dragged because I am content just staying home and 'creating'. I DO need to get out more though...I think staying inside, alone is not all that 'healthy' for me no matter how 'content' I may be. It's safer though...can't get hurt if you're not socializing. Ya just need to risk it sometimes though coz you might be missing something spectacular! Harm none and walk in the Light, Willow aka Marsha
