Big Yellow

Big Yellow is a rock band that plays an eclectic mix of 60’s psychedelia and 70’s and 90’s rock with jazz overtones. With all four members contributing to the songwriting, they cull their music form a variety of influences including Led Zeppelin, Charles Mingus, Blind Melon, John Lennon, Elvis Costello and Smashing Pumpkins. Big Yellow is about to embark on a coast to coast summer tour.Josh Ferguson (guitar), Josh Jakab (bass and vocals), and James Loso (drums) grew up together in Fair Haven, Vermont. With very little musical experience, they decided to start a rock band while attending junior high school. They learned how to play their instruments while taking rock and jazz classes at school. Soon they were playing shows at school and local parks and clubs. Over the next few years, they would raise thousands of dollars for worthwhile causes by donating all of their proceeds to local charities. Soon after, Josh Ferguson moved to Los Angeles and met musician Orlando Canedo (guitar and vocals). Canedo had been in several bands in Northern California and was searching for band mates in L.A. They hit it off musically and started playing shows in small clubs and coffeehouses. Eventually, Josh’s former band mates joined him in Los Angeles and Big Yellow was formed.Big Yellow will be touring this summer starting in the northeast and ending in Los Angeles. Big Yellow plans to donate half of their proceeds to charities and people in need. In order to do this they are going to need a lot of help from people all over to hang up fliers, tell your friends to friend request us, and do anything they can to spread the holy word.
