Tired Of Boring Music On The Radio? .. We Are Too!

About Me

The White Trash Cowboys are best known for their bombastic, rock plus rap approach which turns punches against corporate America, government oppression into a Molotov cocktail of punk, hip-hop, and thrash, with an added redneck, southern american perspecive. The Cowboys were formed by Bryan Simons and Terry Martin who grew up together in Longview, TX. In their earlier days they used to jam and write songs (as early as 5th grade), but never played in the same band together in their later years. A phone call from Bryan started the bang in Fall of 2000; forming the beginnings of the White Trash Gang. The original lineup was focused on playing live and for the most part was a part-time hobby for all members of the band. After several years of playing live shows, including opening up for big shots like The Marshall Tucker Band, Eddie Money, Sister Seven. The band cut a demo CD in Deep Blue Somethings recording studio in dallas, TX. The CD received great reviews...but scheduling got in the way of commercial aspects due to most of the band members day jobs, and family obligations. Eventually the band split up as some of the members wanted to pursue other opportunities and Bryan and Tbone started doing some studio work and focused their efforts together writing new material. At that point they decided to make a stab at a commercial CD and started tracking the first songs in November of 2006. They found producer, David Eaton from L.A., and started the work. In February of 2007, Bryan met up with Bobby Blotzer (drummer for RATT), and brought him on to produce the other half of the CD. Bobby also played on six of the songs, contributing not only his great producing skills...but his incredible drums as well. They tapped into a variety of pro skill to help out with the recording including Jerry Scott (bassist for Bad Company, Molly Hatchet, Ratt), Tim Hogan (bassist for John Waite), and Steve Deboard (lammin Gladys') on drums. Currently as of August 2007, the cowboys have finished recording the CD, which is in the mastering stage and scheduled to be released Sep/Oct. this year.
