Global Gathering Permanent License
Global Gathering, the UK’s biggest dance weekender has been granted a permanent license making it an eternal fixture in the festival diary.
Global Gathering has been granted a permanent license. From summer 2007, the festival will confirm its place as a guaranteed fixture on the music events calendar. Launched seven years ago in 2000 Global Gathering has grown into a two day camping festival which attracts no less than 50,000 from all over the world. The license, which received no public objections, has been granted to allow the event breathing space to grow even bigger year on year!
This year’s festival took place at the Long Marston Airfield, Stratford upon Avon on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th July and featured a spectacular line up of global dance music talent with live bands Basement Jaxx and Faithless headlining alongside nu-breed pop star Calvin Harris. Superstar DJs; Paul van Dyk, Carl Cox, Erick Morillo, Armin Van Buuren, Roger Sanchez, Sasha, Oakie, 2manyDJs and a further 150 DJs presided over crowds of thousands in their state of the art music arenas.
A dance music compilation called Godskitchen Presents Global Gathering 2007 has been released. It features a cracking track-listing of major club hits including:
• The Chemical Brothers ‘Do It Again’
• Justice ‘D.A.N.C.E’
• Calvin Harris ‘Acceptable in the 80’s’
• Tiga remix of ‘E Talking’
• Tiesto ‘Break My Fall’
