A Commentary from Leftee:

Hello Everyone! I am very excited to have been a part in this Leftee's Greatest Hits Volume 1 Remaster project. This project spans back in history about 25 years with songs going all the way back to 1983 and my musical roots, to the present day with ThreePeace. Along the way I have had the opportunity to play with many talented Michigan Musicians. All of these people have greatly influenced my music and are very responsible for the sound you hear throughout. Many musicians I talk to always say, "I hate to listen to myself on recordings I make." I personally have never had this problem or I wouldn't be doing it at all. From the start I have been dedicated to being a recording engineer and a musical historian. While remastering these tracks I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by what I found from the past. Throughout you will hear influences of The Police, Bob Marley, Classic Rock, Reggae and Jazz. These were all big influences of mine. Bob Marley and The Police were my teachers and my hat is off to all of them. I fully understand I wouldn't have the spark to create if it weren't for my heroes! Thank God for The Police Reunion! I needed that! This recording will be available at CollegeMusicRadio.Com for download. However, the CD Mail order version is burned directly from the Digital Master and includes longer unreleased versions of some songs. As a recording engineer I urge you to purchase the CD by Mail. That way you will be hearing what I heard when this was remastered. I am certain you won't be disappointed! I don't want that to sound arrogant in any way. I just believed in it then, and continue to believe in it now. It is just nice to know that our ship seemed to be headed on the right course musically. It is a very diverse sounding album, and again a great deal of the thanks goes to the Cats that jammed on here. Remastering this material made me very proud! The reason for this is simple. It is a album that I believe my son will be listening to in 20 years, and hopefully he will be proud of his Dad! I also hope he will find inspiration for his future. It is comforting to know through this Remastering it won't be lost in the shuffle of time. I sincerely hope you enjoy it! Send me some mail at my myspace address above with your comments. I would love to read them. I would also like to thank our management for encouraging this project. I'm glad we can continue to spread our music and words of peace around the World. We included a few other tracks on CollegeMusicRadio.Com for download. While I think they are good songs, they just didn't fit in on this project. A few others were demos. Thanks most of all to you for your continued support! Blessings!

Cheers,

Leftee

Band Members: Well my solo material is sort of like a Steely Dan compilation in the fact that I love to use studio musicians on my songs. I would like to thank the following cats for their assistance! Big R, Jim Lorang, Pat Cronley, Nick Calandro, Martin Sheehan, Jeff Warner, Danielle Brownfield, Mike Anderson, Mike Duncan, Tim Baum, Tim Link, Brett Rominger, Shawn "Thunder" Wallace. It is a great joy to create songs and then have some of the finest musicians play on your works. Thanks to all of you for sharing your talents on my songs over the years. By the way the fifth track is the creative genius of The TecTonics as a whole. The TecTonic Shift Instrumental was a jam we made up as a band before a recording session, that track reminds me of Traffic. Enjoy!
Influences: Our Heavenly Creator, Jesus, Bob Marley, The Police, The English Beat, Classic Rock, Reggae & Jazz. I bet you can hear Stewart Copeland in there as well! I have been very blessed with the most wonderful son!
Sounds Like: The Police, Bob Marley, English Beat.
