Johannes began his musical journey when he was only nine, when he picked up a guitar for the first time and started to play. Right away he was hooked. From that moment on, nothing else mattered outside of playing the guitar.For the next ten years he spent six hours per day practicing, writing, jamming with different bands, and having guitar duels with his older brother. His talent and genuine passion for guitar playing was unmistakable. Music was his life. Together with his friend, Mattias (dmasoul), they groomed each other into skilled musicians.At first, Johannes focused mainly on playing rock and pop before growing into a more specific musical direction. During high school he played a lot of jazz and soul, it was also at this time he found his love for reggae. Soul was pushed aside as Johannes left his soul band and became the guitarist for the reggae band, The Repeaters. The next four years were filled with gigs, tours, and records. He lived and breathed reggae. Since the band split in 2003, Johannes has played along in a variety of groups. His burning desire for music and guitar playing continues to increase; it’s his identity, his calling. When the almighty calls again, he will come running.Here on myspace Johannes will release his own reggae creations by the name of Zion Sounds.
