After graduating from VA Tech, I toured North America for eleven years on drumset with Jazz/R&B singer-entertainer Jane L. Powell. A high point was being voted "Entertainer of the Year "and "Jazz Artist of the Year" in 1990 by the 1300 colleges and universities comprising the National Association for Campus Activities. In 1992 I settled into the Washington, DC/Baltimore region. I continue to manage Jane and I freelance record and perform with acts such as Higher Octave/Narada recording artists Shahin & Sepehr, Ron Holloway, Armand Ntep, and a variety of other bands. I teach drumset privately and at Goucher College. I have released a number of unique DVDs (including my "Drumset Play-Along DVD" and "A Rhythmic Murder Mystery" DVD), CDs, and musical games on my Music And Games 4 U label, found at www.MusicAndGames4U.com. More media products are in the works! My most challenging gig is my "A Rhythmic Murder Mystery" live show where I perform a solo real-time concert on Roland electronic drumset while the audience attempts to solve a murder mystery text by listening very closely to the musical pieces!I serve as Vice-President of the MD/DE chapter of the Percussive Arts Society and as Music Consultant for Sustainable Environments for Health + Shelter.I am extremely proud to be an Associate Artist with Maryland Drum Company (formerly Baltimore Drum), Dream Cymbals, Trueline Drumsticks, and Phatfoot. I am happy to perform my "A Rhythmic Murder Mystery" show in association with Roland USA.
