It was more than two decades ago, after hearing the likes of St. Vincents DJ Bhisma and Trinidad and Tobagos Teddy Mohamed and Mario Russell that NGL decided to step behind two decks and realize his calling. His enviable talent for rocking even the most discerning crowds has led him on a worldwide journey that few DJs could begin to fathom.Having started up the progression ladder in St. Vincent, and eventually to London, DJ NGL set his sights on the much more challenging international DJ circuit. This desire to join the ranks of the best DJs in the world sent him east to Japan. Japans Hip Hop scene at this time was very much in its infancy and it was here where DJ NGL began to help build the foundations of the Hip Hop scene in Japan. Indeed, many Hip Hop greats would consider DJ NGL as one of the pioneers of the urban music scene in Japan.DJ NGLs time in Japan was well spent. He played alongside the likes of Wyclef of The Fugees, Speech of Arrested Development, and Terence Trent DArby. Furthermore, DJ NGL also began to expand his professional base by delving into production and Entertainment Management. As great DJs truly never stop, DJ NGL knew it was time for him to hit the international circuit again. This time his sights were set on the kingdom of Thailand. Once again, DJ NGL was entering a market where urban wasnt as well known as it was in other parts of the world. Always rising to the occasion, DJ NGL single handedly established the most prominent Hip Hop night in the kingdom, as well as becoming one of the most sought after DJs in Thailand. DJ NGL joined ranks with the members of Thaitanium, the most popular hip hop group in Thai history, to form an unstoppable collaboration.PROMOTIONS/ DJ NGL PRESENTSIt was during one of his sets in Bangkok that DJ NGL realized that while most people enjoy his sets, they dont get the chance to see other international urban music DJs. This realization presented DJ NGL with a golden opportunity to not only bring world class DJs to Thailand, but also to hold workshops and seminars to enhance the DJ culture. It was in this spirit that DJ NGL began bringing some of todays hottest international DJs to Bangkok. Thus far DJ NGL has managed to bring DJ CAUJOON, Japans number one selling mix tape DJ, as well as world re-known DJ POGO, former DMC champion and turntablist extraordinaire.
