The Seacoast Survives

About Me

And from the ashes rise...This sit was set up not as a promotion for a specific Portsmouth band, but as a promotional and organisational outlet for seacoast locals who want to see something happen artistically and musically in there hometown. This site is also for bands not from the are that wish to find a place to play in an artistically-saturated area.Do you want to see certain bands play? Do you wish you could show your art but don't know any gallerys that would display it? Are you interested in playing a venue that's not your room?.....THEN DO IT YOURSELF!!! Why depend on Bud Mullethead, owner of the local dive, to book a show worth seeing, when you could assemble a group of like-minded individuals to secure a location and the band line-up. Why beg and plead to the snooty, bead wearing gallery owner to display your art when you can throw your own art showings. Why wait for the call to play when you make the show happen. We have to stop depending on finding the foot in the door when we have the opportunity to kick the door off it's hinges. This could have been a MySpace group, but nobody ever pays attention to those, thats why the music site was set up. Post your ideas in the comments or blog section. mail me with ideas and I'll start the blog topic. Mail me with event dates of any sort and I will post them. Hell...there's space for music. I you want to showcase songs to the audience, send me the music and I'll post it. Lets keep this sit busy and make things happen.
