I am here for Friends

About Me

My first love is scuba diving, and I feel more at home in the water than anywhere else... Which is a good thing, since I live in England now, where it rains constantly.
Random me...
I'm slightly clumsy... don't think I have my land-legs yet.
I like cheering people up.
I love giving gifts, but I'm always embarrassed when I receive them.
I drink... Water, Milky Tea, Coca Cola & Guinness.
I love the feel of warm, dry sand.
If I'm out walking around or diving, and I see litter, I pick it up. Dog poop too, if I have a bag. I can't stand seeing people just drop their crap wherever they feel like... no pun intended!
I think I'm not that interesting, but my friends think I am... Go figure.
I love a good laugh.
I'm addicted to post-it notes.
I love Autumn... and the first snowfall.
I'm a Sci-Fi geek at heart.
I love cotton t-shirts, jeans and big, cozy cashmere sweaters.
I love to travel... I NEED to travel!
I'm a bit of a bohemian and never seem to stay in one place too long. Free-spirit or commitment-phobe? ...I'll say free-spirit.
I'm a cynical woman with an idealistic heart... <3
I'm trying to raise a well-rounded person in a mad, mad world.
I want a cozy home in the English countryside where I can have my own smallholding, a workshop for my artistic outlets, and just be a mum.
I love my laceless Chucks!
I like REAL people. Stop trying so hard to be cool, and just be yourself.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

The Dalai Lama. I'm not religious, but I really respect how he has managed to keep such a peaceful and positive outlook in the face of all the personal and cultural hardships.

Sean Connery... I saw Thunderball on tv when I was 8 and fell head over heels!

'The Iceman'...'The Menace'...'The Non-Flying Dutchman' -Dennis Bergkamp! What control and skill... time slowed down when he had the ball... the results, pure poetry. The Arsenal hasn't been the same since he left... but at least I got to see his last professional goal.

Peter Crouch. Ok... go ahead and laugh. For all my friends who made fun of me when I cheered his addition to the England squad before the World Cup, all I can say is - HAT TRICK!!! HAHAHA! Plus I just think its really funny that a bloke who is something like 6'7" is named 'Crouch'...

And I'd like to have coffee with my MySpace friend, James Gunn, because he seems like he'd be Hi-larious... Hell, I'd even buy.

My Blog

My massive 'Save Chuck' post

As with most tv shows I really enjoy, I have recently found that Chuck is being threatened with cancelation.  NBC hasn't entirely made up its mind, and Chuck is currently in the 'maybe pile'.A massive...

My British potty-mouth

You see, it's like this. I'll start writing something, then look something up on the internet to avoid making a complete arse of myself, and thank goodness, because then I'll realise the whole ...

I watched a man die today...

There was nothing I could do.  That's what really is eating me up I think... the fact that I do have medical training and there wasn't a god-damned thing I could do. I'm also slightly angry at h...

Positivity Blog

I'm really happy today.   It could be the fact that I'm feeling the sun on my face for the first time in weeks... living in England does have its drawbacks!   Although, I don't think I...

Alexander ONeal & keeping an open mind

Last night was my birthday.  I turned 38.  Surprizing, since I thought I already was 38.  I guess my inattention has provided me with an extra year in the game of life.  But I digr...
