George Kopelakis (a.k.a. Loopstep) was born in Athens and grew up in Heraklion Crete. His love for music led him to get involved with djing in a very young age, it was in 1992 at the age of 15. Since then he has performed at all big venues of Rethymno Heraklion, Mallia and Hersonissos. He has got involved with all the kinds of music and experimented a lot. The year 2000 he met dj ASAG a meeting that later changed his life. He became a basic member of the eqnation crew and formed his own style towards the electronic music scene evolving himself towards progressive trance. He has participated in the biggest events of the island playing along with famous djs and producers such as Son Kite, Atmos, Echotek and many more.
