DJ JeSteR is an independent club and pub DJ from Adelaide, South Australia. Ever since he could remember, he truly had a passion for music but it wasn't until he attended high school in 1996 when his love for music became more than just an interest. JeSteR excelled in his music class as a performing vocalist in two year-level orientated bands plus the school vocal ensemble. From there he went on to compete in competions such as 'Battle Of The Bands' as well as dozens of performances including functions and venues at places such as 'Adelaide Festival Centre', Festival Theatre', 'The South Australian Botanical Gardens' and even 'The Adelaide Zoo' as well as a string of primary school performances across South Australia.
After finishing school in 2000, JeSteR decided to focus on study after high school. While studying an Arts & Multimedia course in 2001, JeSteR was selected to partake in the 'Young Achievement Australia Awards' where a chosen group of students from across the state had came together to form a company and then research, market, produce and finally sell an original product for profit. They decided to create a music CD that would feature tracks from popular unsigned bands across South Australia. During this time JeSteR found himself spending hours and hours in the recording studio where he got a good feel for the behind-the-scenes part of the music industry as well as all the work and effort that goes into music production.
However it wasn't until late 2005 that he decided to dive head first into the world of DJing and music production. He started at the bottom learning the ropes and developing his skills as a lighting technician at one of Adelaide’s best clubs. In early 2006 he finally began his training as a professional DJ. Under the guidance of DJ BeeJay and with the help of other top ranked South Australian DJ's, he honed his skills and eventually became a weekly guest DJ at 'The Mars Bar' in Adelaide, before leaving to pursue other opportunities which lead him to become a resident DJ at 'The Edinburgh Castle Hotel' until it sadly closed its doors for the last time on the 24th of April 2007. Since then he has returned to remixing as well as producing his own tracks and also has started his own business, 'Mobile Entertainment Solutions', performing at various locations around metropolitan South Australia.
Dj JeSteR hopes to again become a resident DJ at one of Adelaide’s leading clubs and in the long run, hopes his career will take him to new and exciting places where he can spread his love of music and continue to entertain people across the globe!
