About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
Consider everything here to be parts of a sort of journey. Progressing through different themes, characters, stories, with a tongue firmly planted in cheek half the time. We have broad influences and musical goals within the larger hard rock genre, shall we call ourselves ambitious?
VB is what it is, although it could be possible to mistake us for an assembly line product.
Shady, Android, and Masterplan were recorded at City Web Studios in Nov '08. "The Mystery" Vicious Midnight played all guitars and bass. Chris from City Web was the session drummer as Joe Skull was not back in the band at the time. Tina has been giving vocal instruction since April '08. Sathya started with the band June '09.
The other songs were recorded on handheld tape recorders in 2007 with various friends of the band and former members. Right now we're only asking prospective members to learn the 3 studio songs.
If you are possibly interested in joining, we're pretty diehard and there's no substance abuse problems or notable baggage to hinder things.

VB jam videos with various lineups we tried out or just jammed for fun with(in other words, no serious rehearsals since there wasn't one steady lineup):

Forgot a couple things

Back in Business...sorta

We had a jam a couple days ago with myself, Sathya, Joe, and Christian. As you can see from the front page, Christian is gone. So we're gonna be looking for another bassist. I've emailed Nomad and ask...

Go Away HSBC

These motherfuckers are calling me like 15 times a day. I've already wasted enough time on them and Musician's Friend as it is. So, I decided to email MF's management about the situation. It's getting...

time for another blog

Finally...time for another blog. There hasn't been a lot going on lately. Unless a new guitar player pops up, there won't be any jams til the middle of June it's looking like. Never heard back from th...

a little bit overdue

Just kinda treading along at this point. Joel informed me that he won't be able to continue his involvement in VB, so, that opens up the 2nd guitar spot and we're back to CL. Marketing the band via ad...

Transposing

I've been working to transpose different songs for my range, and it's been met with mixed results. Priest songs, they don't always work. Desert Plains doesn't sound exactly right if I transpose the hi...

Just a few things

I'm highly looking forward to working on some music with Joel and Christian, possibly as early as tomorrow. I'm also hopeful that we'll locate a jam space and a lead guitarist soon.I think I've done a...

Some kind of progress

Tuesday I was supposed to work with Joel on a couple of his promising originals and whatever else we could get done, but, I got a blasted cold that wiped my voice out. Christian is still onboard with ...

Scott Mills=Ripper Owens

That's right. I had a dream that Ebbers no showed another Life in Shadow gig and that Scott had to takeover vocals. He started singing the songs like a mix of Ripper Owens and Ebbers. I don't think he...
