About Me

I'm gonna keep it simple - Started DJ'ing back '88 in ATL. At that time in the A you pretty much was DJ'ing BootyShake joints and maybe some NYC Hip Hop ...Slick Rick, EPMD, Dougie Fresh, etc. Well it was 1992 and I met up with an up and coming music producer and he asked me to be his in house DJ/crate digger. From here I met H2O. Now at this point in time H20 was just a cat that had migrated to ATL from NYC ...Brooklyn. This dude basically opended me up to the NYC sound and rhyme style. We started making beats on the regular. Now as for my producery skills - I can say he gave me a lot of my direction and developement. I then continued making the NYC style Hip Hop and started seeing the music scene change in the ATL ...mainly with the release of a group called Outkast. These dudes basically put ATL on the map as far as giving the A it's signature hip hop sound and identity. As a producer doing NYC beats ...I was limited to the people I could work with ...so I had to change up and broaden my beat styles. Started doing more southern beats. I even started working with reggae artists as well. Currently I produce all kinds of beats Hip Hop (underground and mainstream), Deep house, Durty South, reggae, R&B/NuSoul ...the only genre I probably wont Eff with is country. BLUGGHHHH!ok ok ...I'm dragging this out to far ..Production Equipment: SP1200, MPC 2000XL, Reason, Proteus 2000, Proteus Orbit, S-950 (I know some of these pieces are damn near ancient but they do they job like no other). DJ Equipment: Pioneer CDJ800's, Numark mixer, RANE's Scratch Live and the Matrix B-52 Speaker system. I am currently producing as well as DJ'ing (Hip Hop, NuSoul, Deep House, Reggae, Classis R&B, Rare Grooves, 70's, 80's, 90's, and more. Here are some of the artists as well as other industry folk I know and have worked with. Some have made noise and others still strive to make their mark in the industry: The NOMADS! (Ro & Linc), Yall So Stupid, Rick Ran & Dan, Ph Balance, E.S.P., Phrikshun, Phurst John (now known as) Jonny Jacuzzi, Massinfluence, Father MC, Black Ego aka Chance aka Chancelor Starmichael aka "I'll have another name in 2min" aka Dr. Swag ...not to be confused w/ MC Originalty, Red Gorilla Clothing, Illa, Ricky D Records, Joe Greene/Yusef, K-Lee/Coach K, DJ Applejac, Talib Shabazz, Randal Moore, The 88.5 Weekend Recking Crew DJ's, 88.5's The Bomb, DJ Dose, DJ M3, DJ Searcey, DJ Jelly, DJ Jaycee, DJ Exit, DJ Klever, DJ Kemit, DJ Jamad, Cha Cha Jones, Joi, Young Jeezy, Shawnna (formerly of DTP), Southern Bred, DNS, Mojo Swagger, Brett Eclectic, DJ Cozy Shawn, DJ Rasta Root, Karl Injex, there are more but you have read enough to get the idea.I Do This For The Love in hopes that the Love will make me some money along the way. ...this way this music will never be a J.O.B. to me ...it will just simply BE.
