TREY DUPREE’s soulful career began at a very early age and naturally led him to gospel and rhythm and blues. By age eleven, he discovered the lyrical street poetry of “free-stylingâ€, which also led him into hip-hop. Eventually, TREY DUPREE managed to imbibe his soothing vocal talents with a fresh, hip-hop edge, creating a window into his personality enabling listeners to glimpse his soul. After gaining industry knowledge through his walks of determination, TREY DUPREE realized that using his vocal talent to excel in the world of music was inevitable. This gave way to him laying hooks and verses on mix tapes and collaborations. He studied different styles of music, from upbeat hip-hop, to laid back jazz, to soulful R&B, to classical, even mainstream pop and alternative sounds, creating a mesh of rhythm and emotion that suited his complex personality giving way to TREY DUPREE’s self-proclaimed genre of StreetR&B.With his vocal skills improved, TREY DUPREE searched further into the music regime by studying the making of music itself: the art of writing music to complement his songs, engineering in the studio to formulate the songs, and learning theory of mastering tracks. TREY DUPREE has completed his second music project entitled ‘Something Gotta Give’, simply because he’s been committed to his passion of music for so long without the recognition his music commands.TREY DUPREE is currently performing in select clubs and showcase events in the east coast region, writing songs, producing beats, and engineering studio sessions. When asked to explain his feeling on his talents, TREY DUPREE replied:“All our souls are united, and we each have gifts to share with one another. My gift is the vehicle of music possessing the ability to communicate and connect with people on a spiritual level. If even one song touches an individual in a positive way, to make them feel better about their situation, then my music is doing its job.â€
