Band Members: SEVEN TIMES ME written, arranged and performed by Kat Francois WORLD SLAM CHAMPION 2005 and BBC3 SLAM CHAMPION 2004.PERFORMANCE TYPE: THEATRE/POETRY ENGLANDSEVEN TIMES ME is a one-woman show, which is suitable for 13 year olds plus. Including dance, drama, poetry, visuals and music, Kat François uses these mediums to tell a personal yet universal story, dealing with subjects such a siblings, puberty, domestic violence, relationships, and racisim and inner city life.A vibrant performer and storyteller KAT FRANCOIS uses her skills in a unique and exiting format, to tackle real life issues and inspire those who see her show to overcome their own struggles. A thought provoking and touching piece of theatre.COMPANY BIOGRAPHYZUPAKAT PRODUCTIONS is the brain child of Kat Francois.Kat Francois is the world slam poetry champions 2005 and the BBC3 TV slam poetry champion. With a background in dance, theatre and poetry. Recently Kat Francois acted in “THE BLACKS” written by French playwright Jean Genet. Resident poet at the Theatre Royal, Stratford East London. She has performed in a multitude of venues, festivals and schools, nationally and internationally including. Jerusalem, Italy, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Canada, Galway, Belfast, Derry, Mumbai.Kat Francois is also a well-respected educator of young people having taught social health issues for over ten years, and also a youth worker for over 15. Kat Francois works regularly In schools throughout the U.K, using poetry and creative writing to explore young peoples feelings and emotions.CURRICUMLUM LINKS: English, drama, dance, sociology, health and social care.Teachers notes available on request.Space: any space, suitable for performance of a one person show. Power: music system, a visuals projector, and minimal lighting. The show is capable of running on the most basic of technical requirements, if needed.
