Carlos (8 years old), Giovanni (7 years old) and Royce (3 years old) began training in Muay Thai and JKD when they were only 18 months old.
We have been wrestling for three years in USA Wrestling-CAGWA and AAU Wrestling. We have won many medals and trophies. Carlos is the USA-CAGWA Super Tournament Champion in his division (45 lb)two years and counting, and Giovanni placed second in his division (35 and 40 lb). We are both Las Vegas Takedown Champions, Vegas Grappler Champions, Sierra Vista Wrestling Champions. Both of us are undefeated in AAU wrestling. In Feb 2008 Carlos and Giovanni became ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATONAL WRESTLING CHAMPIONS, each placing 1st in our divisions.We began training in grappling two years ago and liked it so much we made the trasition to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu learning from Ulysses "Useless" Gomez (Cobra Kai) and Walter "Cascao" Vitale (Excel Defense Studios). Carlos is a four time NAGA champion in both GI and No GI. Giovanni competed in NAGA for the first time this year and is also a champion in GI and NO GI. We also are South Bay Jiu Jitsu Champs, North American BJJ Champs, U.S. Open Grappling Champs and Grapplers Quest Champs.
Carlos and Giovanni are very dedicated to school (both are great students)and our training (3-5 hours per day seven days a week). Most kids know "Sponge Bob", we know UFC/PRIDE/IFL/King Of The Cage/Gladiator Challenge, K1 fighters.Currently we travel up to three hours away just so we can train with the best coaches and teammates around. We are very blessed to train at Xtreme Couture Las Vegas (BEST FIGHT TEAM EVER!!!)where we are learning to be complete MMA fighters under the guidance of Randy Couture, Ron Frazier, Jay White, Eugene Harris, Roberto Drysdale, Michele Nicolini, Josh Medina, Wanderlei Silva, Shawn Tompkins, Joey Vegas, Johnny Hendricks, Josh Haynes, and Gil Martinez.We are also very lucky to have Joe Stevenson's Cobra Kai here in our hometown to train at learning from Joe Stevenson, Marcelo, Jorge, Al, and just recently 2000 Judo Olympian Ferrid Kheder.We are excited to announce that we will be getting back to our Muay Thai roots and training at Master Toddy's in Las Vegas and training our boxing at the Wild Card Boxing Club.Pound for pound Carlos and Giovanni are top notch in both skill and ability training in both adult and kid classes.
