SPòóNßENDER
Our debut CD has now arrived in all its glory! Six tracks of slinky, succulent sounds for your delectation.
This is what Backbone of 247 magazine had to say about it: "Trifling, festivular, knob-twiddling hey diddle-diddling anybody? Ho ho! It may not be the most spectacular of forays into digi-roots pop but Calstock duo, SPOONBENDER, do have a curious off-beat charm. Steve ‘Dreadeye’ Knight’s semi-rapped vocal delivery sounds more twee than a warehouse full of Tweedledees but the lyrical content is definitely a strong feature: dealing with depression, love, religion and politics with unflinching honesty. With the reformed RDF peddling the same kind of reggae-poetry you have to wonder how Spoonbender can carve out a niche; although the infectiously slinky keyboard hooks (especially on ‘Runes & Spoons’) afford them a loveable originality."
If you want to listen to it and dance around a bit in the comfort of your own home it can be yours for £5.00GBP inc. P&P.
If Paypal's not your thing but you want to buy the CD, message us through here and we'll find another way ;-)
