LokalPatriot ( www.lokalpatriot.si ) is a cultural organisation in the town district of Novo mesto, Slovenia. It was founded as part of student movement in January 2000. The institution operates on three separate locations and has several productions.
Club LokalPatriot signifies a constant venue for a quality Slovene and world creativity with the em¬phasis on authorship. Simulaker Gallery ( www.simulaker.si ) is a space open to all styles of modern visual arts. Multimedia center of Dolenjska Region ( www.mcd.si ) represents an IT point with 8 computers equipped with various software.
Jazzinty ( www.jazzinty.com ) and Fotopub ( www.fotopub.com ) festivals with their respective work¬shops for musicians and photographers, represent an excellent opportunity for initial comprehension of the art as well as for advancing one's knowledge at the highest level. Every year we award the best Slovene jazz-composition in the Jazzon Competition ( www.jazzinty.com/jazzon.htm ). Photographic Experience ( www.fotopub.com/izkusnja.htm ) and the Thursday Award are competition opportunities for amateur and professional photographers to show their work. The cycle of Jazzinty Concerts ( www.jazzinty.com/abonma ) satisfies even the most demanding audience and the festival Muzejski vrtovi ( www.lokalpatriot.si/muzejski ) dons glamour and entertainment on warm summer nights.
