Conversations with people who can tolerate me and are open-minded, tossing the Aerobie, working out (but not quite to the gymrat level), geeking out on tech toys, watching baseball (I'm a Mets fan, but living in Atlanta for 12 years I've grown to deeply respect the local team and can even root for them from time to time), drinking until happy(er) with cool people, and occassionally playing some Name Game or Asshole.
Some Mets fans in Atlanta. People to play drinking games with and have semi-deep conversations with about some shit we may not know much about. People who don't think they know everything. People who can discuss politics with someone with different opinions without it turning into an argument, actually people who can be friendly with people who have different opinions than they do period. If you don't like an artist because of his religious or political views, you're an idiot, and I don't want to meet you.
Beck, Bright Eyes, the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Big Poppa, Bowie... yeah pretty much anything starting with the letter B. And also Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.
Dr. Strangelove, Office Space, The Big Lebowski, Braveheart, Garden State, Pimps Up Hoes Down, Little Miss Sunshine... yeah I guess those are some of my favorites...
Dexter, Pardon The Interruption, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Mr. Show on reruns, The Soup, Real Time with Bill Maher, Grey's Anatomy, I just started watching Deadwood, it sort of passed me by but it's pretty damned good.
Guns, Germs, and Steel, Descartes' Error, Slaughterhouse Five, The Age of Spiritual Machines, American Gods, The Cosmic Connection, The Elegant Universe, Ishmael
Winston Churchill, Douglas MacArthur, Ron Bennington, my dad, Stephen Colbert and anyone who isn't afraid to take chances, fail, and pick up the pieces and start over.
