Leading the pack of a new generation of QueerxCore bands, this Boston band hit the ground running with this Boner Popping Three song EP. Taking influence from QueerxCore forunners Pansy Division, Gayrilla Biscuits and Limp Wrist, these boys from Boston inject fresh blood into a newly resurgent sub-genre. Humorous Homo-Hardcore that is as influenced by current 'core heavies like Champion, Mental, Slapshot and Agnostic Front, as by their Queerxcore compatriots. This jam packed EP includes the out of-the-closet hard-hitter "Never Going Back", the fist pumping tongue-in-cheek "Tough Gays" and the controversial parody of Have Heart "The Machinist" aptly titled "The Gaychinist". Never mincing words, and laughing all the way to the Glory-Hole, YOTG put HARD back in Hardcore.

In the Winter of 2005 Youth of Togay was formed by three friends living in Boston. All of having been involved in the punk and hardcore scene for many years, had the idea to create a side band that would address the rampant homophobia in hardcore, and have an excuse to use naughty words. Our intention from the get go were to record some songs, have some fun and press one single, in limited supply just for kicks.
The Spring of 2006 brought sporadic practicing. Towards the end of the Spring of 2006 we booked some studio time at a local studio. We wanted to take what Gayrilla Biscuits had done and top it. Better recording quality, and covering classic and current hardcore songs that we had been heavily influenced by. We entered the studio for two days and recorded "And You Know Dicks" (originally by Mental), "Get Gay" (originally by Get Real), "GayxEdge Revenge 2007 (originally by ProjectX), "Make The Change" (originally by YOT), and two originals "Pig Pile" and "Adam and Steve". We had so much fun in the studio. Im can say with confidence that it was one of the best experiences of my life. We spent 20+ hours in the studio recording an amazing record. The tracks were originally slated to be a 4 song single and two tracks for a split with LA's Black Fag. All of these tracks ended up on the "Want More Guys" EP, which as of this date has been hung up by our, now ex-record pressing plant. This single will be out one day.
In the fall of 2006, members of the band, were busy with personal projects and cross country moves. We stayed in contact and, because of the awesome experience we had in the studio the first time, and the buzz generated by our tracks, we decided to go back into the studio to record more tracks for a series of recordings that would be released over a two year period. Through E-Mail, and telephone we picked songs and scheduled our studio time. Having one member of the band in LA, there was no time for practicing.
In the dead of Winter 2007 we returned to the studio to record 11 new tracks. We spent almost 40 hours in the studio recording what I consider to be the greatest GayxCore records ever recorded by man. And this time we were joined by 1/2 a dozen of our good friends to help us. You know who you are!!! Umong the tracks recorded were "The Gaychinist" (originally by Have Heart), "Banned in Tennessee" (originally by Bad Brains), "The Goop" (originally by Champion), "Yo, Our Edge is Gay" (originally by Hammer Bros), "Lust Laugh" (originally by Slapshot), "Gayever!" (originally by Ten Yard Fight), "Bust It!" (originally by Righteous Jams), and 4 originals "Never Going Back", "Cum Fiesta", "Tough Gays", and "Dude of Your Dreams". We had a lot of help including writing, arranging, drum and guitar work and vocals. We were a little stressed, wanting these recordings to top our previous sessions. After three exhausting days our efforts were rewarded by incredible, laugh-out-loud songs.
Following the sessions, our Myspace was deleted due to a disagreement with Bridge9 Records and Have Heart over our Parody of their song and album. We see it one way, and they see it another. But make no doubts about it. We have all legal rights to record, release and sell our version of this song. Our intentions have not changed and this record will be amazing, with or without the support of Have Heart or Bridge 9.
The "Tossed Salad Days" Sessions will be released in two parts. Two 7" records. One a "s/t" EP that will be out in the Winter of 2007/2008 and a single which will be released in the Summer/Fall of 2007. These singles will contain tracks unavailable on the CD compilation.
In the sspring of 2008 YOTG returned to the studio again and recorded 6 new tracks, which will be come what we think is our best EP ever!!! Tentatively titled "Tranny Island" This year will bring 2 new 7" and a possible EP release in Europe and work on our Spring 2009 European Invasion.
