Hi there, my name's Kayla. Some fast facts for those not interested in reading further: I love to study languages (I'm all right at Spanish and proficient in American Sign Language; my French is very limited, but I do know some and can usually read simple documents without much trouble); I can also read and write using the I.P.A. (International Phonetic Alphabet); My Chemical Romance is my favorite band; I am a pantheistic atheist; I love learning about other cultures, especially trying the food; my boyfriend is amazing; I love reading in general; and I've recently decided that Netflix is just about the best thing since sliced bread. Anyone wanting more than just the Reader's Digest version of me, please continue reading. =]

When I'm not working or in school, I'm usually just chilling out in my apartment with my other half and either reading, doing homework, listening to music, watching movies, or some crazy combination of all of the above. I am a VORATIOUS reader: prior to attending college, I was one of the only kids I knew who had read as many books as me. Basically if it's got words and doesn't suck, I'll read it.
My favorite band is My Chemical Romance, but I DO listen to and enjoy others (see list of "MUSIC!!!!!" for proof).
Let's see...what else...I work at Target. My coworkers are the best: they're some of the nicest, smartest, hardest-working people I've ever met. If I wasn't lucky enough to work with the people I do, I seriously don't think I would have survived at work.
But yeah, I guess that's about it for now unless anyone wants to know more, in which case you can send me a message and we'll see if there's friendship potential. =]
