The key to the mystery of a great artist is that for reasons unknown, he will give away his energies

About Me

I'm a son, brother, uncle, friend, husband, father, and an artist (occasionally a bad fisherman). Being an artist means may things to many people. Once upon a time, I worked for a company called TSR Inc, Where I did sword and sorcery work for games, books, calendars, etc. Several years ago I decided to go in a different direction and do more fine art. Specifically I'm an oil painter, a Contemporary Realist with my main focus on Western Themes and Figure work (nudes). I, pay the bills working for Vizual F/X Studios (vid game developers). To see more of my work (unedited - God forbid someone sees a boobie. There'd be blindness and mass hysteria) go to Fred Fields official website It's NEW and UP TO DATE!

Also to see my limited edition prints go to Millpond Press

Vios con huevos!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I enjoy talking with artist of all types. I may not like everyone's work but I enjoy the interaction.

I'm always looking for models. Cowboys I run into from time to time but am always on the lookout. Older is better the older a face is, the more of a story that face tells. I get a lot of my Indian/Native American reference in South Dakota. Souix, mostly. In Arizona, Navajo.

I'd like to meet Robert Duvall. I've seen him play everything from Boo Radley to Blue Bonnet. Love that guy!

My Blog

A bittersweet trip to the Motherland (Kentucky)

My Grandmother.....I guess I should start by saying that I grew up living next door to her. She is the sweetest woman on the face of the earth and I'll throw down with anyone who says otherwise...

My photo

It cracks me up when I post a new blog and see my way-to-serious photo to the left. I look like I'm a columnist in some yokel newspaper and I've got a really really important opinion on car ...
