In summer 2001 while on holidays in Estavayer (CH) I didnt miss the chance of doing a few rounds on the cable to check out the wakeboard. That was it for me, already the next day I found myself on the water in tow of a boat, SuperAirNautiques. From then on I spent every spare minute possible on the water. 2002 I spent primarily on the cable in Estavayer, with a few boat sessions in between. That summer I also discovered the wake skate. I quickly realised that I fancied wake skating because of no restrictions on the board due to no binding. The next year I also obtained my boats drivers licence and I started driving for Wake & Ski in Zurich (CH). Needless to say I spent all my time on the water either as a driver or on the board. I visited locations like Lake Zurich (CH), Lake Lucerne (CH), Lago Lugano (CH), Lake of Zoug (CH), Lake of Constace (CH), Montrevel (F), Blaichach in Allgau (D), Pfullendorf (D), Schwandorf (D), Estavayer (F), Krk (H), Most (CZ), Giessen (D), Orlando OWC and Clermont (USA) to improve my skills on the boat or the cable and Lake de Bret (CH) and Montrevel (F), Montpellier (F), Potsdam (D) to ride a winch. Every season from May to September I spend my time on the water just about every day. Depending on the weather conditions my activities also include surfing, or even barefooting. As long as I can skate I am happy, be it Boot, Cable, Jet Ski or Winch, as long as it is fun I am out there. Currently I am working with a good friend of mine (also a passionate wake skater) on a hoist (work in progress) in order to come up with more spots and to make more sliders. My objective is to spend as much time as possible on the water and to participate in many more championships and contests within Europe or overseas, to have fun with the sport and to meet a lot of people and make many good friendships and connections.
