Gil 'Nuny' Ortiz, has been playing bass guitar for over 20 years, studied 'Popular Music' at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico --performing live with rock/funk band Vivanativa, reggeton, artist Don Omar, rapper Vico C, former divas singers Porto Latino, gospel artists Lorell Quiles, Yadira Coradin, Migdalia Rivera, Rene Gonzalez, Luis Santiago, Marlyn Arroyo, Jerry, Shay Garcia, Gadiel Espinoza, and Awilda Zayas.Also performed with singers Alexandra, Janina, funk/latin D'Jeleu, salsa and composer/arranger/singer Nino Segarra. Opened act for Van Halen in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Recorded sessions with Janina, Rawy (ex 'Menudo') Alexandra, Abreu's Sisters, ska/reggae Algarete, Pies Negros, and Latin jazz Cool Spice. Also played with members of the popular local late night show band "Anda Pal' Cara."Gil 'Nuny' Ortiz is currently living in Orlando, Florida, working on various projects as well as engaged with studio recordings. He is currently playing with Latin smooth jazz 'Jazzspy' and pop/alternative 'Sublingua.'
