A Second Burial was formed in July of 2006 after countless months of planning. The band originally started as John MacPherson on drums, Chad MacPherson on guitar and Pete Thomas on vocals.
After a few months of rigorous work, John and Chad ended up relocating, and improvement was drastically reduced. John and Chad kept at their work, awaiting the time when Pete could make it down to the studio again. To help pick up the momentum, the brothers acquired Josh Spencer as their second vocalist and progress was made immediately. Shortly there after, Pete started travelling to practices, and is now transferring to the area. This helped them to kick the advancement into high gear.Through all this, Chad had underwent a critical operation on his back. Shockingly, after only a month, Chad was back on his feet playing again. As time progressed, the band hit a slight slump.
After the passing of a short hiatus, and a slight member line-up change with the leaving of Josh Spencer, and the joining of Bassist Justin Parsons, ASB has come back on their feet.
