About Me

My name is Colleen, and I graduated from Millersville University in December '05 and earned my BA in Psychology. I just started working as a Mental Health Technician at Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital, and I really enjoy my job. It's so much better than Nutrisystem, it's ridiculous! Every day is different, the patients can be interesting, some days can be a little challenging (but it's worth it), and it's good to see when a certain patient is making progress. Now it's time to really get serious about going to grad school. I'm looking at Temple, Immaculata, Millersville again, and possibly another school or two for school psychology programs. Right now I think Immaculata's probably my first choice.Now for the general stuff about me: I find people interesting. I'm kinda quiet and shy, but I loosen up once I get to know you better (or when I'm drunk, lol). I like meeting new people, although it's a little nerve-racking for me sometimes. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a nice girl, and that I'm pretty easy to get along with. I love laughing and smiling, and I have a pretty expressive face (probably from doing theater). Sometimes people say I can be so quiet and then all of a sudden say something hilarious. I look really innocent, and I am mostly, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve ;). I love just about anything associated with some form of rock music...I can't help it..it's just how I am. I really miss dancing, singing in a good choir, and being in musicals--I wish I could make one of the musical forms my profession, but I wasn't really given enough talent in any one. I've been told I'm like the "girl next door", and I guess it suits me. I'm pretty low maintenance, but I make sure to look nice when it counts. Oh yeah, and for the "religion" down there, it says 'other' because my beliefs are sort of a combination of pantheism, mysticism, and Quaker(non-practicing). I decided 'agnostic' just wasn't cutting it. Anyway, I think I've blabbed enough.

I like a lot of different types of music, but my favorite types are rock, punk, metal, alternative, and emo. And then there's classical music and showtunes, too...because I'm a big choir and theater dork. Freedom Writers, American History X, Batman Begins, Napoleon Dynamite, Dead Man Walking, Team America: World Police, White Noise, Anchorman, Dodgeball, The Butterfly Effect, Donnie Darko, Old School, Elf, School of Rock, Finding Nemo, Chicago, Moulin Rouge, American Beauty, the LOTR series, the Harry Potter series, Spiderman 1 and 2, The Ring, Underworld, Gothika, The Princess Bride, 50 First Dates, The Neverending Story, Remember the Titans, Tommy Boy, Office Space, West Side Story, and so on and so forth..I like a lot of movies, lots of different types...except most pure action movies. I especially like movies that I can get something out of after watching them.

Television:

Heroes, 30 Rock, American Idol (yeah, I'm a nerd), So You Think You Can Dance, House, Stella (when it was still on the air)....and I tend to watch TBS, ABC family, Fox, HBO, and Comedy Central channel-wise. I like Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, but I haven't watched it in awhile...I love Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Family Guy! Futurama is good, too.

Books:

I don't read much, but I enjoy reading the Harry Potter books.

Heroes:

My mom is my biggest hero. She's the greatest. My boyfriend is also pretty damn awesome. I also think Maynard James Keenan is brilliant.

Concert tomorrow...w00t!
