Tyrone's Intervention

About Me

Rising from the ashes of the Gentlemen Callers (LA variety), Tyrone's Intervention weaves recycled power chords, a smokin'-hot rhythm section and blues-backed spoken word into something unoriginal yet unique.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: http://www.myfbn.com
Band Members:Eric Porvaznik (guitar and vocals) leads a rotating assemblage of some of Southern California's finest musicians. Billy Browne (bass), Dennis King (percussion), Steve Sampson (lead and slide guitars), Wesley King (lead and rhythm guitar) and Shane Covey (lead and rhythm guitars) are some of the fellers with whom Eric feels blessed to have shared a stage. Tim Mank became the latest member of Tyrone's Intervention (more appropriately, Tyrone's Mank Intervention) when he laid down guitar work on "LA-LA Land" that would make Slash blush.
Influences:
Joe Strummer... you've been through the cleansing fire of punk, only to pick up a few venereal diseases along the way. You're more of an optimist when it comes to fucked-up genius. But you can write wicked-deadly riffs and lyrics.

Sounds Like: It's been said Paul Westerberg doing a Lou Reed imitation, but with an alternatingly funky and sleazy rock accompaniment!?!?
