A Witch is as ancient as the forest and as timeless as knowledge..........

About Me

I live in the same small town I grew up in, and have no desire to leave. (Then again, we've got lots of local history here, as well as being the home of Elizabeth Cady Stanton which is a plus for someone like me interested in women's rights!) I'm blissfully single, and definately not looking to complicate life with another relationship. I'm an Autumn type of person, and an Earth/Air Witch. Two things I don't think anyone will ever find me without are a cup of coffee, and a book I'm in the middle of. I believe I'm fairly easy to get along with, and I truly enjoy making friends. I'm always willing to share, but refuse to be taken for granted, and absolutely don't like being pushed into anything. I also have a great bullcrap detector and can't stand being lied to. Small minds, self-importance, obnoxiousness, prejudice and rudeness set my teeth on edge as well as "do as I say, not as I do" types. Don't do me any favors if there are strings attached or if you think my doing so, you have the right to run roughshod over me either. I believe personal experience is the best teacher even though it's not the easiest or kindest one. I love the scents of sage, cedar, sandalwood, lavender and rose. My favorite colors are silver, purple, and shades of green. I love to read, write poetry, correspond with friends and groups, and research things that make me think or challenge my point of view. My "I've always wanted to go there" place? Australia! The two things that terrify me are fire and (are you ready for this) baboons. (I know, go figure) I believe it's important to stand up for Pagan rights and freedoms (and do so often. I also believe in protecting women's rights, and children's rights and safety, and in trying to help others find ways to do so . I also very much believe it is our responsibility to take better care of our Earth -- and that every little bit helps; we all have a personal responsibility to do whatever we can.My eBay store, "Ravyn's Attic" is up and running and it's full of all kinds of great things, Pagan and otherwise, including my own hand-made spellkits and magickal powders. You can take a look at it at: http://stores.ebay.com/ravynsattic"Witchcraft is the Old Religion, the Way of the Goddess - a righteous Faith in the Earth. My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Pagans, and Pagan-friendly folks with open minds. I'd love to meet Starhawk, Phyllis Curott, Kerr Cuhulain, and Laurie Cabot -- if for no other reason than to say "thank you for being who you are". I'd like to meet Criss Angel and Johnny Depp, just to say I did (wink, wink. And there are just so many of my online friends whom I wish I could get together with in my kitchen for coffee and some Witchy chat...
