hola -- donnet here. i am the latest probably of many mc's to hit the scene. being a female, i don't see as many of us as i would like on the come up so, i look forward to making a solid mark in our hip hop culture. born in the home that helped usher in a genre of music that spoke to the ears of many, being raised in the bronx has been the best teaching i could have received. having learned from various lessons in street 101, i look forward to sharing my experiences with those who can appreciate & understand my state of mind. i'm a very expressive person which is why writing is very important to me. it wouldn't feel right reciting someone else's thoughts! so do pay close attention....keep in mind i post ruff cuts first. this is the best way to receive honest feedback. If you appreciate what you are listening to now, then show some love! most importantly, listen closely what's said..i'm not a hard chic or a sex kitten.. i'm just a woman with a mic who has lived & seen things that are worth discussing..period! ...but , with a lil sophistication & class! **wink wink**my youthful appearance is by the grace of good genes and god but..do know i'm NOT a teeny booper nor do i make music of the such. i started spitting at the age of 15, standing in the staircases cyphered with 10-15 dudes, so you KNOW i had to learn how to spit hard. cats from my area are HARD on you so being a female i had to pull my weight. they would pit me up against other dudes while traveling to house parties (yes i said house parties--so go figure my age :) on the train. i hail from morrison ave. the home to many individuals were music is our life!!!...from writing & producing to managing & artists, my home had a mixture of it all. If you like some of the production u have heard from p-diddy's hit men team, the song "tonite" by montel jordan (during the 90's), know about the r&b group from the 90's ladae or have listened the rap group cru, then you know about where i'm from..if not...take a listen and take the chance to become familiar with the area that raised me and gave me my love (besides my father) of music! even more i thank you for checking ur girl out and showing luv! i'm NOT trying to be a superstar..that's for people who require ATTENTION..i'm here to be the voice of many thru the best weapon i have...the art of self-expression..
